Disable the Shipping Update Notification on Shopify

Sometimes, in certain orders, you need to update the shipping process including new addresses or tracking numbers. Once you update the information, by default, the Shopify system will send an email notification about the changes for customers. However, you can turn off this feature if you see it unnecesary to send every notification to your clients by disabling the shipping update notification on your Shopify store. 

How to disable shipping update notification

Step 1: Go to Orders and select a specific order

Access your Shopify admin as usual, then go to the Orders section from the left menu of the page.

In the orders interface, pick a specific order number you'd like to make changes. 

Step 2: Click Fulfill item 

When you are in this order detail page, clicking on the green button - Fulfill item to continue

Step 3: Enter New tracking details

Enter the new tracking details to appropriate fields in the Tracking information area.

Step 4: Uncheck Send notification details to customers

Then, in the Notify customer of shipment sector, remove the check from the tick-box to stop sending notification details to customers.

Step 5: Save your changes

Finally, click on the Fulfill item button in the Summary area placed at the bottom right or the page to finish.
