Add a Post to a Blog on Shopify

When you already added a blog in your Shopify store, then you need create blog posts for that blog to enrich its content. You can have texts and images for a blog post to make it more interesting. This writing will show you how to add a blog post on your Shopify.

How to add a post to a blog 

• Step 1: Go to Blog Posts
• Step 2: Choose Add blog post
• Step 3: Enter blog title & its content
• Step 4: Select blog settings
• Step 5: Complete one of the following optional
• Step 6: Make it Visible
• Step 7: Save

Step 1: Go to Blog Posts

Login your Shopify admin > Click on Online store > Select Blog Posts 

Step 2: Choose Add blog post

Then, click on Add blog post button that placed at the upper right corner of the page

Step 3: Enter blog title and its content

Now you can create your own title and content for this blog post by entering the values into the text boxes

Step 4: Select blog settings

This step shows you how to select your blog's settings in the Organization block

• Author: you can choose the writer or the account's name of the post from the drop-down list. 
• Blog: choose an existing blog name where the post is published, or you can create a new blog in case you don't want to publish the post on the existing one. 

Step 5: Complete one of the following optional

• Featured image: clicking on Add image to upload your own one so that it will show on the landing page.
• Excerpt: add a summary of the post to show it on the landing page
• Tags: include tags to your blog posts to easily find them by category 
• Search engine listing preview: edit and update the search engine listing for the blog post.

Step 6: Make it Visible

When you finish your content and settings for the post, then you decide to publish or hide it by choosing the option from Visibility block. The blog post is usually hidden by default setting, so if you want to publish it, just go for Visible and you can set the specific date to publish by clicking on Set visibility date below. 

Step 7: Save

Finally, select Save to complete the process.
